• "Research the process and take time to learn each step. Be realistic that it takes time (time to set, seal, mortar, seal…etc). Make sure that you know the look you want before starting so you can be sure that your dream becomes a reality!"

• "We went back and forth on picking the best floor. Actually we bought slate for the whole room and ended up returning it because we weren't 100% sold on it. I had my heart set on brick."

• "We found the floor at Floor and Decor. We scoured the whole building up and down, every aisle looking for what we were most attracted to. I found myself constantly back at the brick."

• "I chose Castle Gate. I was torn between a few similar colors/styles, and I was only looking at pictures online. So it was a little difficult to tell how it would look in my space. But I am happy with the choice."

• "I was building a bedroom in my basement and I wanted a few different sections of walls to have brick on them."

Any advice for those looking into brick for their future projects?

• "Carefully plan out how the brick is going to start and finish on all four sides, and plan accordingly. If at all possible install the brick before installing adjacent walls, ceiling, trim, etc so you don't have to make awkward cuts to the brick. It will look more natural."
